History

Construction of this iconic spot began in the Fall of 2011 and was completed two years later in the Fall of 2013. The Student Center held its Grand Opening on November 13, 2013. Take a look down memory lane and follow along to see the progression of the Sonoma State University Student Center.

Hornberger & Worstell are selected as architects

Final design plans bring the total square footage in at nearly 130,000

2009-2010

The project is put on hold due to CSU budget cuts

April 2011

Students vote to approve an increase in fees to support the building. Vote passes by a 58.8% margin.

The final hurdle is cleared as the CSU Board of Trustees unanimously approved the project
